Hark the herald... stone angels.

We called them stone angels..... almost as  old as angels but indeed fossils known as brachiopods which as kids we would search for amidst all the other stones on the shores of Lake Erie.  Not numerous, they were difficult to pick out and so would hoot and hollar when espied.   I had a set made into earrings for my mother and said these should make her feel very young by comparison!  This is the season of angels and hope all our imaginations are winged with good wishes.
