Our Storm log.....

There was no lack of wind on the Great Lakes this past weekend.  And tornadoes wreaked havoc on bordering states Illinois, Michigan and Ohio.  On the CDN shores of Lake Erie, where I hail from, the winds were strong but without significant damage, so our thoughts and prayers  go to those in the path of this mighty blow.  A storm log, indeed.  Planks above are beautifully stacked at the Boat RestorationYard in Newport RI, no doubt destined for a  boat ... even looks like a Richard Serra sculpture.  I love trees and the colour of wood, to wit, many of the BBB have wood names:  Cedar, Oak and Hickory......  and of course further along the manufacturing train comes pulp and paper. Also wondering where the curious reverse S mark came from.
